An infusion of pandan leaves is used for flavoring rice, meat and vegetable curries, legume dishes, pickles, jellies, ice cream and other sweets. Pandan flavors a popular sweet dish made with rice and coconut milk.
Medicines
Many species are used as ornamentals; an example is P. veitchii plants which have glossy dark green leaves with a white border.
